Already in December a partnership agreement was signed by the presidents of the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Bangkok (KMITL) and the University of Würzburg Schweinfurt. In order to further manifest this partnership, the Faculty of Business and Engineering welcomed a KMITL group of fourteen students, two lecturers and Dr. Jochen Amrehn, lecturer at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology in Thailand and Vice President of Nanjing Tech University in China on 14 and 15 June 2018. The students of Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) were invited to get to know the curriculum of the subjects Business and Engineering, as well as Logistics. In the winter semester, the first FWI students of FHWS will start an exchange semester in Thailand. At a joint workshop with the Thai group it was possible to exchange information about the study, culture and traditions in the respective other country.
In addition to the Faculty of Business and Engineering, the group also visited the Faculties of Computer Science and Economics, with which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. Next year a joint interdisciplinary FHWS student group is planned to visit King Mongkut's Institute of Technology.
