In addition to the theoretical teaching, the course also provides for a concrete practical orientation and real tasks

As Hannibal Barkas said in his early days, "either we find a way, or we make one," more than seventy logistics students from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt proceeded according to this motto in six international teams. Twice in the course of their studies, they solve real tasks within the framework of a practice-oriented project in cooperation with companies from the region. During this semester, Bechert Haustechnik GmbH, Schmitts Backstube, Lebenshilfe, Schaeflein Spedition and St. Josef Hospital, among others, commissioned the students with the following topics: Optimisation of production supply processes, stock optimisation in the warehouse, preparation of analyses to optimise ordering procedures for products and the improvement of product availability at the end customer.

In addition to the topic of project management, the prospective logisticians were able to deepen many logistics topics from the lectures and apply their knowledge in practice. In addition, soft skills such as team skills, time management, (foreign) language, willingness to learn, goal orientation and initiative played a decisive role in the success of the project and for a convincing final presentation to the customer.

Finally, company representatives, students as well as professors and employees had the opportunity to read up on information and exchange ideas on the topic as well as the solution approaches on a marketplace at poster stands.
