Indian Consul General visited the Faculty of Business and Engineering in Schweinfurt
High attendance at the Faculty of Business and Engineering: The Indian Consul General for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, Sugandh Rajaram, visited the faculty. He was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Engineering, Professor Dr. Peter Meyer, and Professor Dr. Uwe Sponholz (Head of "Business with Europe").
The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt has maintained close partnerships with Indian universities for many years. The Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering and the Christ University are a special feature here. A jointly developed curriculum is intended to give Indian students the opportunity to switch to the FHWS "Business and Engineering" program after taking the basic subjects at their home university. In return Students of the Faculty of Business and Engineering can study at Indian universities for a semester abroad.
Since 2008, the FHWS has also been offering the continuing education master's programme Business with Europe (MBA) together with the Indian Christ University. After a two-year study period, students receive both an MBA from Christ University and an MBA from FHWS. One semester of the study time is spent at the university in Schweinfurt. The number of Indian students at the Faculty of Business and Engineering is therefore correspondingly high.
It was a particular concern of the Consul General to get to know the Indian students personally and to gain impressions from their everyday studies. In addition to information on the faculty's study programmes, he received a presentation on the Business with Europe programme. The visit was rounded off with a visit to the Virtual Reality Laboratory. Following the visit to the FHWS, the Indian Consul General was welcomed by Schweinfurt's Lord Mayor Sebastian Remelé and the Mayoress Sorya Lippert in the City Hall.
