Huai Zhe Chia from Malaysia received the "DAAD award for outstanding foreign students".

The award recognises his outstanding academic achievements and social commitment.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) uses public funds to promote international cooperation. Every year, the DAAD provides the universities with funds to award prizes to outstanding foreign students.

This year, the prize, endowed with 1,000 euros at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt was awarded to Huai Zhe Chia from Malaysia . He is enrolled in the Business and Engineering programme and was honoured for his outstanding academic achievements and his commitment to student life at the FHWS. He currently participates in the Double Degree Program with Tongji University in Shanghai, China.

In addition to his excellent academic achievements, Huai Zhe Chia has contributed to student life by participating in the International Evening at the FHWS, being a member of the we@fwi students club within his faculty and helping to organise recreational activities such as a foosball tournament, Christmas music concert, Latte Art Workshop and maintaining the international FHWS-Instagram account. Since the student is currently spending his semester abroad in China, he thanked for the award by sending a video message.
