Where Research and Industry Meet in Immersive XR
MAVEL Lab (MAVEL Labor) is a full-scale virtual and augmented reality environment at THWS enabling collaborative prototyping, simulation, and experiential learning.
MAVEL Lab (MAVEL Labor) is a full-scale virtual and augmented reality environment at THWS enabling collaborative prototyping, simulation, and experiential learning.
Students, researchers, and companies use digital twins, interactive simulations, and data visualizations to prototype, test, and evaluate ideas collaboratively.
Unlike headset-only VR setups, MAVEL surrounds users with projection, spatial audio, and motion tracking, allowing multiple people to share and interact within the same virtual space.
This shared environment is powered by the MUSE (Multi-Unified Sensory Environment) system.
We support projects across education, industry, and research. Below are the primary ways teams apply MAVEL.
Explore ideas at human scale before they become physical or expensive.
Evaluate processes before building them in reality.
Study behaviour and data inside the environment it represents.
Immersive spaces. Real-world applications. Explore how MAVEL brings extended reality to life.
State of the art 3D models with Nanite enabled turned into experiences capable of hosting multiple people, running on MUSE.

3D data of the Ritterkapelle turned into a virtual experience capable of hosting multiple people, running on MUSE.
MUSE allows you to simulate industrial environments and host multiple people at the same time for testing and training.
We refine, test, and perfect immersive experiences through a collaborative process ensuring every solution is practical, scalable, and ready to perform.
We begin by generating and refining interactive use case ideas together. Promising concepts are shaped into clear XR scenarios.
We align visuals, audio, and spatial cues so the environment remains coherent, readable, and repeatable across sessions.
We build the experience and test it in real conditions with representative users and stakeholders, iterating quickly.
After launch, we support refinement based on findings, ensuring the environment remains stable, scalable, and useful over time.
But, what makes us different?
We are Europe's only lab that supports this technology.
(Multi Unified Sensory Environment)
A room-scale environment where synchronized projection, audio, and tracking make digital worlds behave like physical space.
Digital environments exist at real scale so teams can walk, test, and evaluate ideas together without headsets.
Visuals adjust to your position so objects remain stable in space, enabling accurate depth, scale, and alignment.
Movement and gestures directly control the environment so feedback feels immediate and spatially grounded.
Multiple perspectives render in real time, keeping shared sessions synchronized and responsive at full scale.
High-lumen projectors create continuous surfaces, delivering stable visuals across walls and floor.
