Recommended for imitation: Professors Dr. Gampl and Dr. Blotevogel confirm the high quality of DiZ offers

The DiZ University Didactics Centre based in Ingolstadt has set itself the goal of continuously improving didactics at universities of applied sciences: It offers advanced training courses for professors who come to universities from the business world and would like to learn and deepen methods of teaching, learning and multimedia mediation.

Vice President Professor Dr. Ralf Roßkopf from the Faculty of Business and Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt awarded Professor Dr. Birgit Gampl the "Certificate for University Teaching in Bavaria". The certificate, which with 120 work units contains altogether 18 days advanced training, covers the five ranges of topics teaching and learning concepts, presentations and communication, examining, reflection and evaluation as well as advising and accompanying. Professor Gampl expressed her gratitude that the offer had above all opened up many opportunities for her to design teaching interactively (especially in larger groups) and to involve the students. Topics such as visualisation, presentations, rhetoric and elements of improvisational theatre also offer many ideas that she was able to incorporate into her everyday life at the university.

Professor Dr. Thomas Blotevogel from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was awarded the "Certificate for University Teaching Bavaria Professional Level" as second professor at the FHWS. The advanced participants develop a new teaching concept for one of their own courses. They are guided by a coach, receive feedback from other course participants and reflect on their own further development through a learning portfolio. Professor Blotevogel summed up that participation in the professional course required a great deal of personal commitment and that it was definitely worth it, as he had clearly been able to professionalise himself as a teacher and his teaching methods.
