Programme objective
Our goal is to train students in the field of renewable energy sources and their sustainable use through practice-oriented teaching . This means:
- You will learn about renewable energies and their sustainable use from different perspectives - from a technical, economic-legal and scientific point of view.
- You will be able to grasp overarching interrelationships, react flexibly and control projects
- You will develop case-related, applicable solutions based on scientific methods independently or in a team.
Occupational fields
Graduates of the program will find excellent employment opportunities, both regionally and nationally. Possible areas of employment include:
- Energy network operators (gas, heat and electricity)
- Component manufacturers for energy networks (PV or wind power plants, combined heat and power plants, biogas plants, storage systems, etc.)
- Engineering offices for planning and construction of grids / domestic supplies / storage facilities
- Large-scale industry, e.g. in the field of energy process optimisation
As this is typically a cross-sectional function in companies, you should bring not only technical know-how, but also enthusiasm, the willingness to make decisions and assert yourself, as well as social skills. These competencies can be acquired, for example, by attending appropriate elective modules as well as in seminar-based courses.
