Visualizations
Visualizations
The main purpose of VR is 3D visualizations of geometries in which real-time interaction is possible - from simple product visualizations to complete workflow visualizations. This means that users can take the system apart in real-time, add sectional planes, hide objects, test different colour schemes, make experiments and experience the object. The user can take the machine apart using a remote control and view it from all angles in order to verify the machine in detail.
Interactive product presentations
Interactive product presentations animate the virtual system to show off its advantages to their best effect. These animations can be made available as completely finished 2D or 3D videos, but they can also be integrated into the current scene and played as desired. This eliminates the need for a real exhibit, making an interactive product presentation very suitable for trade fairs and technical sales.
Simulations
The use of VR enables the creation of numerous simulations. Simulations are precisely defined scenarious that can be used specifically for training, education, services or maintenance - for example, the installation of a spare part in a plant or machine.
Constructability studies
As part of constructability studies, the building space is examined for the necessary handling and possible collisions with tools or other parts. In this way, instead of a real prototype, a virtual prototype is created, which is more cost-saving and can provide early information in the product engineering process (early integration).
Reviews of ergonomic concepts
Another area of application is the review of ergonomic concepts. There, ergonomic, static analyses are carried out on the basis of various human models.
