What we do
We represent students’ interests in the following faculty and FHWS bodies.
Faculty Council
Decisions about module handbooks, consultations concerning the improvement of study conditions and the extension of existing courses or creation of new courses (e.g. lab courses, general electives)
Student Council
Suggestions for improvements throughout all faculties; discussion and consultation about current general matters (e.g. VG Wort - the collecting society of authors, or amendments to the Bavarian University and College Act BayHSchG)
Six-Members-Committee
We have a right of co-determination for the allocation of assigned funds for human and material resources. There is a central Six-Members-Committee for FHWS-wide matters, as well as a Six-Members-Committee for Faculty matters.
Professorial appointment committee
A student representative is also among the members of the professorial appointment committee to voice the opinion of the Faculty’s students. Here, the decisions about appointments are discussed and made. During the appointment procedure, candidates for a professorship are chosen and invited to mock lectures.
Mock lectures are public events and students can attend them (which is always appreciated) to give their opinion or ask questions.
