Bachelor’s programmes

You can choose any of our bachelor's programmes:

Language

You can choose between modules taught in German or in English. However, you can also choose both and study certain modules in German and others in English.

First, you have to decide which of our four bachelor’s programmes you would like to study. You will still be able to choose individual modules from all bachelor degree programmes of our faculty.

Bachelor's in Logistik

Course selection

When thinking about the course selection, please note the following:

  • Some courses are offered either in summer semesters or in winter semesters (see module handbook
  • Projects (PROA and PROB):
    • There are projects in the winter as well as in the summer semester
    • The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance with the help of your learning agreement. However, participation cannot be guaranteed
    • During projects, 10 - 12 students per group work on solutions to real-world problems of local companies
    • Thus, very good command of English is a prerequisite, but also that you are in Schweinfurt throughout the whole semester; for successful completion, absences are not permitted
  • Seminars (SEML): In this course, students will write an academic piece of writing on a topic that will have been assigned at the beginning of the semester. The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance with the help of your learning agreement. However, participation cannot be guaranteed.
  • Courses in German: All courses are aimed at German native speakers. The language of instruction and the examination focuses on this target group. There will be no examinations in English.
  • SAP Courses: For the course focused on SAP (SAPS), you will need advanced SAP knowledge (10 ECTS credits).
  • Each semester, a new decision is made as to which elective modules are offered.
  • Schlüsselkompetenzen (core competences; SKO1 und SKO2): The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance with the help of your learning agreement. However, participation cannot be guaranteed.

In the winter semester, the module Produktentwicklung (PROE) takes place in German; in a summer semester it is offered in German and English. You can select a maximum of two from these three modules. The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance with the help of your learning agreement. However, participation cannot be guaranteed.
  • Courses in German: These courses are aimed at German native speakers. The language of instruction and the examination focuses on this target group. There will be no examinations in English.

  • The modules Applied Project Management (APMG) and Business Plan (BPLA) are offered twice a year, i.e. in the summer semester and the winter semester in German as well as in English. In the winter semester, the module Product Development (PROD) takes place in German; in a summer semester it is offered in German and English. You can select a maximum of two from these three modules. The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance with the help of your learning agreement. However, participation cannot be guaranteed.
  • Courses in German: These courses are aimed at German native speakers. The language of instruction and the examination focuses on this target group. There will be no examinations in English.

In the master’s programme, individual supervision of your specific research project is the main focus.

Master's in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen

Application and executive synopsis of your research topic

Master’s students can stay at our University for one or two semesters to work on a specific research topic and thus prepare their master’s thesis. To be admitted, it is required to hand in a brief synopsis of up to two pages of the research project. The synopsis must be handed in no later than one month before the official end of the application period. We need this time to find out whether there is a suitable supervisor for the project at our Faculty.

  • End of applications for the summer semester: 1 December of the year before - therefore, the synopsis must be handed in by 1 November.
  • End of applications for the winter semester: 15 May - therefore, the synopsis must be handed in by of 15 April.
